The Charlotte Hall Drug & Alcohol Residential Treatment Center has served local communities for more than 40-years providing treatment through structured programs for detox, residential care, medication-assisted treatment and family education for both men and women. Pyramid Healthcare offers comprehensive behavioral healthcare for our clients to help develop the strength needed to overcome life’s challenges and allow clients at all stages of recovery or rehabilitation to reclaim health and well-being. We are seeking a Housekeeping Lead to join our team, supporting our clients by providing a safe, clean space for the program.
Summary:
Creates and maintains a welcoming environment for all clients, staff, and visitors by performing routine cleaning of patient rooms, clinical areas, nursing units, offices, waiting areas, lounges, restrooms, and corridors. Works directly with the facilities supervisor and maintenance team to provide quick, efficient service, and assist with scheduling.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist Supervisor with scheduling and supervision.
- Clean and replace linens in client bedrooms following discharge according to prescribed timeframes.
- Keep bathrooms stocked with clean linens, toiletries and other supplies
- Empty trash receptacles and disposes of waste in proper receptacles
- Completes work assignments in a timely manner using checklists to communicate completeness.
- Uses the appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure.
- Observes safety precautions
- Follows all infection control practices including hand washing techniques, Standard Precautions, and isolation precautions.
- Maintains high quality standards when performing work duties
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- Housekeeping experience preferred
- Current CPR, AED and First Aid, preferred
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to talk or hear. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb stairs, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit, stoop, twist, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and carry up to 25 pounds. The employee must seldom carry up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
