Job Title: Sanitor

Summary: To help maintain sanitation / cleaning of the facility. Position includes yard and grounds care, compacting recycle, cleaning of restrooms, warehouse, and supporting the Master Sanitation Schedule.
Essential Duties and Responsibility:
Has knowledge of proper cleaning techniques in a food plant, cleaning and sanitizing equipment following Good Manufacturing Practices. Handles mixes chemicals, responsible for proper storage. Responsible for proper documentation per Cache Creek
Sanitation Procedures. In the event of his/her absence the Production Supervisor may fill-in.
Operate cleaning equipment, floor scrubber, vacuum, hand tools, following Good Manufacturing Procedures to clean equipment and facilities according to the Master Sanitation Schedule, and Production Schedule.
Compact recycles, weigh and transport bundles to proper location.
Keep yard and parking clean and weed free.
Ensures all safety rules are adhered to, communicating issues or concerns that cannot be resolved to Supervisor.
Ensures chemicals are stored and kept in designated secure location.
Reports to Supervisor any issues that could affect quality and safety of product.
Performs work of crew members when needed.
While performing duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee frequently is required to talk or hear. The employee is regularly required to walk; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crawl, climb or crouch. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and 50 pounds occasionally. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None position reports to the Production Supervisor but is counted on to provide leadership and guidance to production workers.

Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma recommended or equivalent from two-year work experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend instructions and cleaning procedures, fill out cleaning documentation. Ability to effectively communicate to Supervisor and Co-workers.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense to understand and carry out written or oral instructions.
Computer Skills: Not Needed.
Other Qualifications: Must be able to work weekends, overtime or rotating shifts when needed.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
