The Pool Service Technician will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to the installation, maintenance, and repair of swimming pools. This includes bonding new pools with bonding wire, servicing recently renovated pools, preparing new and remodeled pools for plaster, conducting equipment repairs, and ensuring job sites are clean and orderly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Bonding New Pools:
- Install bonding wire for new pool installations to ensure safety and compliance with industry standards.
- Pool Curing and Servicing:
- Service and cure recently renovated pools to ensure proper functionality and longevity.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as chemical balancing, cleaning, and inspecting pool systems.
- Preparation for Plaster:
- Prepare new pools for plaster by ensuring surfaces are clean and properly prepped.
- Prep remodeled pools for plaster application, including surface cleaning and repairs.
- Equipment Repairs:
- Diagnose and repair pool equipment, including pumps, filters, heaters, and automated systems.
- Perform regular inspections to identify and address potential issues.
- Job Clean-ups:
- Maintain a clean and organized job site.
- Dispose of debris and waste materials in accordance with company policies and environmental regulations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in pool maintenance or a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Pool Service Technician or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of pool equipment, maintenance practices, and safety regulations.
- Ability to use a variety of tools and equipment related to pool servicing and repairs.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and materials.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including bending, stooping, and climbing.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
