We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking individual to join our team as a Hotel House Person. As a key member of our housekeeping department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness and overall appearance of our hotel. Your primary responsibilities will include maintaining public areas, assisting with housekeeping tasks, and providing exceptional service to ensure guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Public Area Maintenance:
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of all public areas, including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and meeting rooms.
- Ensure that public areas are well-stocked with necessary supplies, such as toiletries.
Housekeeping Assistance:
- Assist room attendants with stripping beds, removing trash, and replenishing linens.
- Deliver and retrieve items such as extra towels, rollaway beds, and cribs to and from guest rooms.
- Help with the setup and breakdown of banquet and meeting rooms as needed.
Guest Service:
- Respond promptly to guest requests and inquiries, providing friendly and efficient service.
- Assist guests with directions and information about hotel facilities and services.
- Ensure that guest requests are communicated to the appropriate departments and followed up on promptly.
Health and Safety:
- Follow established health and safety guidelines to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Adhere to proper procedures for handling and disposing of waste and cleaning chemicals.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate department.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with other housekeeping staff to ensure efficient and effective cleaning operations.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors to ensure guest needs are met.
- Participate in training sessions and meetings as required.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Assist with deep cleaning projects and seasonal cleaning tasks as needed.
- Support other departments as needed to ensure the smooth operation of the hotel.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the housekeeping supervisor or hotel management.
Qualifications / Requirments:
- Previous experience in housekeeping or a related field is preferred but not required. We are willing to train!
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain cleanliness and order.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and the ability to stand, walk, and lift heavy objects for extended periods.
- Positive attitude and a willingness to go the extra mile for guest satisfaction.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Morning Shifts required
- Part-time, up to 30 hours.
