Cleans and maintains offices, restrooms, shops, classrooms, conference rooms, halls, labs, locker rooms and elevators. Clean and maintain areas by sweeping, dusting, high-dusting, mopping, burnishing floors, cleaning walls, doors, and partitions, empty trash/recycle bins, and clean waste receptacles and water fountains, vacuuming, shampooing, stripping, sealing and waxing, steam clean or shampoo carpets. Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures. Cleans all entrances (doors, disable panel, mats, door handles), steps, patios and concourses. Cleans exterior and interior glass surfaces where accessible. Cleans ceiling lights, vents, and window coverings.
Leadership Functions –Receive assignments from Supervisor that may include working alone or with a small group. Overseeing and coordinating the work of others while working in concert with them.. Assist in training custodial employees and inspection of performance.
Minor Maintenance Functions –Performs minor repairs on furniture, fixtures, floors, plumbing, walls, doors, etc. Assists maintenance generalist(s) and skilled trades employees by performing tasks including, but not limited to, preparation of job site, providing ladder assistance, changing lights, and ceiling tiles. Completes light plumbing, carpentry, and electrical work within HPWT lines of delineation. Estimate costs for reimbursable work orders.
Valid Class E Florida Driver’s License Required
Employee is required to complete a floor care hard surfaces & carpet training program.
Employee is required to complete a seven (7) step cleaning procedure, classroom & safety training.
NORMAL WORK SCHEDULE:
5:00AM to 1:30PM (Monday through Friday).
Workdays and shift times may vary in response to customer needs for special event coverage and/or departmental needs.
Some overtime may be required.
Total hours per week is 40.
Management retains the right to modify schedule, shifts and/or days.
