The Porter's primary duty is to assist the Environmental Supervisor in cleaning floors using a floor machine, maintaining the building’s common areas and grounds to include trash removal to designated areas, vacuuming, sweeping, removing ice and snow from sidewalks, and possibly minor repair services directed by management.

Perform any and all cleaning duties including but not limited to: dusting and polishing surfaces thoroughly; vacuuming, sweeping, mopping floors and carpets
Must be able to run a floor machine
Empty trash receptacles
Replace bulbs and other miscellaneous equipment
Fill all paper and soap dispensers
Police the front and side of the building for cleanliness
Clean and properly put away working materials upon completion of work, ensuring storage areas are locked and secure when not in use
Provide professional and friendly customer service to all residents, staff, property management and visitors i.e. greet residents, acknowledge staff and residents, respond quickly to concerns, etc.
Report any unsafe conditions or situations that require more intensive cleaning to your Site Supervisor or Manager
Adhere to all company and site policies and procedures and report any safety hazards to supervisor

Job Requirements:

Ability to perform janitorial duties
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Previous janitorial experience required

4 hour shift
Rotating weekends
