Major Food Group has come back full circle to Mulberry St. with the opening of Torrisi, just a few blocks from the original Torrisi Italian Specialties where it all began. Located in the historic Puck Building, Torrisi, a love letter to Little Italy, proudly presents an Italian-American restaurant with an extensive wine program, a New York-Italian cocktail bar and a luxe deli. Chef Rich Torrisi presides over an open kitchen and presents showstopping dishes, with many prepared or finished tableside to engender warm and welcoming hospitality.

MFG is hiring individuals with strong work ethic and a positive attitude to join their Porter team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintain cleanliness of Back of House and Front of House areas
Clean and sort all dishes and flatwear
Mop and take out trash as necessary
Wash and disinfect appliances, display case, work surfaces, floors, walls
Replenish cleaning materials, soap, paper towels and toilet paper
Perform all other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum 0-1 years experience as a Porter, Dishwasher, Janitor, or similar role.
High school diploma preferred but not required
Dependable, hard-working, and punctual a must
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Open availability a must - both daytime and overnight schedules available
