Seeking a Full-Time Janitor to provide services in our Independent Living/Assisted Living Community!

Shift: 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. (Monday – Friday)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: To clean and service all areas of the facility so that it is clean and odor free at all times.

Responsibility for providing cleanliness of assigned areas, care of equipment, and efficient use of supplies.
Sweeps, damp mops, and buffs floors in tile halls and foyers daily
Vacuums carpeted areas daily
Empties and cleans trash cans and garbage containers
Sweeps and cleans outside porches
Assists with movement and storage of furniture
Assists with storage and upkeep of equipment and supplies
Scrubs, strips, and waxes floors regularly, as appropriate
Keeps janitorial equipment and storage area clean and neat
Daily trash pick-up
Prepares vacant apartments for new renters
Completes work orders in a timely manner as reported by staff and residents
Maintain awareness of environmental safety
Changes AC filters per schedule

Other related projects, duties and responsibilities may be assigned as deemed necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

Must be a people-oriented individual, have good communication skills, and the ability to work with a diverse group of people
Must be able to work overtime as required
Visual acuity to assess cleanliness of assigned areas
Hand and finger dexterity to complete job tasks
School education desirable.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Must be able to fulfill job requirements in a high-energy, high-traffic area.
Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds; push/pull up to 90 pounds.
Extensive walking, standing, bending, stooping, reaching, pulling, pushing, sweeping
