Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to perform a variety of cleaning tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities

Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming in designated areas.
Maintain floors to ensure they are clean and presentable.
Conduct commercial cleaning duties in office buildings, restrooms, and common areas.
Assist with custodial duties such as waste disposal and recycling.
Support facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs or maintenance needs.
Carry out industrial cleaning tasks when necessary, adhering to safety protocols.
Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring they are well-stocked.
Provide porter services as needed, including moving furniture or equipment for events or cleaning purposes.
Occasionally assist with residential painting projects as required.

Requirements

Previous experience in janitorial or custodial work is preferred but not mandatory.
Familiarity with floor care techniques and equipment is highly desirable.
Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high cleanliness standards.
Knowledge of safety procedures related to cleaning chemicals and equipment usage.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
A positive attitude and willingness to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Pay: $16.50 - $17.50 per hour
