Rogers First Church of the Nazarene is a growing church in southwest Rogers, AR. Our mission is to connect people to a vibrant life in Jesus Christ. Our church facilities are also home to His House Preschool and the upper campus of Providence Classical Christian Academy. We host occasional community events and outreach ministries.

Seeking a Morning Custodian to clean and care for the building. The ideal candidate for this position is detailed oriented and will work closely with church leadership to maintain the cleanliness and functionality of the facilities.

ESSENTAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform regular custodian duties as required including vacuuming, dusting, cleaning, sweeping, mopping, washing windows and mirrors, cleaning restrooms, kitchen and drinking fountains, trash removal, replenishing paper products and sanitary supplies and anything else that requires attention during specific work schedule.
Set up, take down and rearrange tables, chairs and portable equipment for church ministries and special events.
Clean and maintain floor surfaces, including ability to operate backpack vacuum, floor scrubber, carpet cleaner, waxing machines and buffers.
Perform various handyman jobs such as replacing light bulbs, replacing ceiling tiles and other basic facility maintenance projects as they arise.
Monitor and request the ordering of supplies.
Work in cooperation with evening custodian and assistant custodian.
Perform other work related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

Be reliable and available to work during assigned scheduled times and requested times as needed.
Be dependable, trustworthy and a good team-player.
Be courteous and initiate positive interaction with others.
Interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment.
Ability to prioritize tasks.
Ability to perform with minimal daily supervision.
Ability to do these tasks: bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing ladders, lifting and pushing.
Maintain a clean, professional appearance.
A basic understanding of custodial equipment and/or cleaning or housekeeping experience.
Be authorized to work in the United States.
Background check required.
Drug test (maybe) required.
Have reliable transportation and a working phone.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
