Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to custodial duties, with an emphasis on quality and efficiency.

Duties

Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting.
Maintain floors through buffing and care procedures to ensure they remain in excellent condition.
Conduct industrial cleaning as needed, adhering to safety protocols and standards.
Assist with residential painting and minor facilities maintenance tasks as required.
Manage waste disposal and recycling efforts effectively.
Ensure restrooms are clean, stocked, and sanitary at all times.
Carry out commercial cleaning duties in various settings, including offices and common areas.
Respond promptly to cleaning requests from staff or management.
Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, reporting any shortages or needs.

Qualifications

Previous experience in custodial or janitorial work is preferred but not mandatory.
Familiarity with facilities maintenance practices is a plus.
Knowledge of commercial cleaning techniques and floor care methods is beneficial.
Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently.
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
Good physical stamina; ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
Excellent time management skills; ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
A positive attitude and strong work ethic are essential for success in this role.
