JANITORIAL SUPERVISOR

Location: Washington, DC

Job Type: Full-time

Function / Responsibilities:
The Supervisor is a position within the line of operations of Phoenix Service LLC. The position is responsible for supervising the day-to-day activities of one or more work areas, as well as directly supervising cleaning personnel and set up custodians. Specific responsibilities include: scheduling, inventory control, quality assurance, orientation, training and communicating with employees and resolving customer concerns promptly and effectively.

Essential functions of the position (major duties and responsibilities)

Supervise and coordinate the work activities of assigned areas.
Maintain and monitor work area.
Prepare operational reports on performance, inventories, problem areas and related information.
Establish and maintain job performance standards.
Monitor equipment and supply use inventories.
Assure adequate safety.
Conduct ongoing quality assurance evaluations and check work areas.
Make recommendations for changes and improvements in work areas as needed.
Conduct orientation and training for new employees.
Maintain proper security procedures.
Provide hands on cleaning as required.
Supervise, motivate and evaluate staff.
Perform other duties as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience: Previous experience as a custodian required, minimum of 1-2 years. Supervisory experience a plus.

Other:

Ability to read, speak and write English & Spanish.
Must be able to take direction, to work with minimal supervision, and to function cooperatively as part of a team. Must follow up on issues in a timely manner.
Requires attention to detail, a pride in delivering excellent customer service, good organization, and high levels of energy and endurance.
Must have good customer service skills, communication skills and the ability to work well with other people.

Los supervisors trabajan dentro de la linea de operaciones de Phoenix Service LLC. Esta posicion es responsable de supervisar las operaciones dia a dia en un area de trabajo asignada asi como al personal. Las responsabilidades especificas incluyen: Cronograma de proyectos,control de inventario, control de calidad, entrenamientos y comunicacion con los empleados y resolver requerimientos del cliente en forma rapida y eficiente.Funciones esenciales para esta posicion:
Supervisar y coordinar el trabajo en las areas asignadas.
Mantener y monitorear el area de trabajo
Preparar reportes de asistencia e inventario y otros requeridos.
Monitorear insumos y equipos
Asegurar standards de seguridad
Conducir control de calidad por areas
Hacer recomendaciones para cambios y mejoras
Mantener los procesos de seguridad
Atender las areas asignadas (manos en obra)
Supervisar, motivar y evaluar al personal
Efectuar otras tareas de acuerdo a requerimiento.

Calificaciones Requeridas

Experiencia de trabajo de 1-2 años como supervisor.
