Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance tasks, with an emphasis on quality and efficiency.

Duties

Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming to maintain cleanliness in assigned areas.
Buff and polish floors to ensure they are well-maintained and presentable.
Conduct commercial cleaning duties in offices, restrooms, and common areas.
Assist with custodial duties such as trash removal, restroom sanitation, and replenishing supplies.
Carry out facilities maintenance tasks as needed, ensuring all equipment is functioning properly.
Engage in floor care activities including stripping, waxing, and sealing as required.
Support porter duties by moving furniture or equipment as necessary for events or maintenance activities.
Maintain a clean and organized storage area for cleaning supplies and equipment.
Respond promptly to urgent cleaning requests or spills to ensure safety within the facility.

Qualifications

MUST BE A US CITIZEN
Previous experience in janitorial or custodial work is preferred but not required.
Familiarity with commercial cleaning practices and industrial cleaning techniques is a plus.
Knowledge of basic floor care methods including buffing and waxing is desirable.
Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
A positive attitude and willingness to work collaboratively within a team environment.
