Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to custodial duties and a commitment to quality service.

Duties

Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming floors.
Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and polishing to enhance the appearance of surfaces.
Ensure proper disposal of waste and recycling materials.
Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and report shortages.
Follow safety protocols while using cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Provide porter services by assisting with the movement of furniture or equipment when necessary.
Conduct periodic inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs.

Experience

Previous experience in custodial or janitorial roles is preferred but not required.
Knowledge of commercial and industrial cleaning techniques is beneficial.
Skills in floor care, including buffing and maintenance, are highly desirable.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team to achieve cleanliness standards.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean environment.
