Position Summary:

The Manufacturing Operator will be responsible for assisting with the production of human nutraceutical products, focused on equipment operation and product packaging. This position will require individuals to learn and operate different equipment sets focused on the weighing, blending and filling of various powder formats, as well as operating packaging equipment that will fill and label products. Individuals will focus on product quality and on time delivery as defined by the operations team. All processes and procedures must follow company SOPs.

Essential Functions:

- Adhere to company Policies and Standard Operating Procedures

- Transport raw ingredients and components from warehouse to manufacturing space on a daily basis

- Weigh and blend various ingredients according to defined manufacturing batch records and formulations

- Operate machinery according to SOPs

- Label and fill various packaging components such as bottles, buckets, tubes, jars, bags, pouches, etc.

- Assist in fulfillment and shipping of John Ewing Company sales orders

- Cleaning of manufacturing space to meet FDA Food regulation requirements

- Take direction from both operations and quality management

- Perform any and all duties assigned by Management

Required Education and Experience:

- High School Diploma or GED preferred

- Proficiency with basic mathematics

- Warehouse and/or Forklift experience preferred

- Gummy, Capsule, Soft Gel and Packaging Line experience preferred

- Ability to work safely and follow Standard Operating Procedures

- Ability to lift up to 50lbs required

- Ability to stand for long hours on a concrete surface

- Ability to read and write in English

- Ability to work around allergens as defined by the FDA (milk, eggs, fish, Crustacean shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat, and soybeans)

Work Authorization:

- Must be authorized to work in the US.

Physical Demands and Other Duties:

- The work requires physical demands with frequent lifting and/or moving of materials in the 10-50-pound range. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration, and high noise levels. Knowledge and implementation of safety practices and personal protective equipment is critical.
