Pay: Base pay is $18.00 per hour. This information is specific to Haleyville and may not be applicable to other locations.

Overview

The Janitor is responsible for ensuring our property remains clean. The Janitor will be responsible for cleaning the restrooms, appliances, gathering trash.

What you will do:

· Service, clean and/or supply restrooms.

· Gather and empty trash.

· Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.

· Clean appliances located in break rooms, including microwaves and refrigerators.

· Help clean up after employee meals and events.

· Help maintain cleanliness of parking lot areas by picking up small trash and debris.

· Sweep outdoor smoking section on a regular basis.

· Monitor building security and safety by performing tasks such as locking doors after operating hours or checking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are not created.

· Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.

What you will need:

Preferably one year or more experience in janitorial setting
HS Diploma or GED, preferred
Good communication skills – must be able to read, write, and speak fluent English and communicate effectively with others

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

· Previous work-related skill, knowledge or experience is required.

· Must have good communication skills.

· Must have good attendance and safety records.

· Must demonstrate solid teamwork abilities.

· Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen
