We are hiring Green Cleaners.

Most of the homes we clean are residential. Sometimes we work alone, sometimes in a team. We provide you with all eco-safe, non-toxic cleaning supplies, and provide you with paid training. We pay our staff hourly, for the time you actually work. We do not bill clients based on the job but rather on an hourly wage, which means we do not expect you to ever "work for free" like some other cleaning companies do. We believe in treating each employee as an individual that deserves respect. All of us that work in management and in the office have also been housecleaners so we recognize what it is like to be "in the field" and we are supportive and caring with our housecleaners. No one gets thrown under the bus when working with us. We support our housecleaners.

We hire for your choice of hours ranging from 20 hours a week to 30 hours a week. If you have availability of 35 hours or more a week, we also provide you with a $120 health insurance reimbursement to be applied to a health insurance company payment of your choice. At this time we are looking for housecleaners to work between 20-25 hours a week. More hours will be available after 2 months of employment, if desired.

History
Green Cleaning Seattle - Eco-Maid Services™ was started in 2008 by Gea Bassett, an Ohio native, who moved to Seattle in 2004. Gea was working on her MA in Sustainable Education when she started Green Cleaning for a handful of Seattle clients. Within months, she hired her first Green Cleaner and the rest is history. Currently, Green Cleaning Seattle - Eco-Maid Services™ has 30 Green Cleaners and over 1000 clients!

What Does “Otium” Mean?
Otium is a Latin abstract term. One of it’s meanings define it as “leisure time in which a person can enjoy eating, playing, resting, contemplation, etc”

At GCS, we believe that a cared-for home directly relates to quality of life. We consider our Green Cleaners to be “Life Givers” and “Time Givers.” Our Green Cleaners provide to our clients “Otium-Maid Services” which allow our clients to regain some of their own leisure. Our work allows our clients to have more room for peaceful moments in their lives

Some of the job requirements include, but are not limited to:

Enjoy cleaning and housekeeping
Ethical and caring
Able to work alone and in a group
Comfortable with going to different homes, different locations
Follow company policy in regard to how to clean, how to communicate with company clients
Valid license, reliable vehicle, authorized to work in the USA now
Able to commit to a set schedule (we are flexible on days and times, but require minimum two weeks notice to change availability or RO)

Limpiadores de casas - Woman-owned, multi-cultural, ethical cleaning company in business since 2008. Wage starts at $21hr plus tips and goes up to $23hr plus tips after 3 months and then to $25hr plus tips after 12 months.

Our service area is all of Seattle and we work as far South as Burien and as far North as Lynnwood and Bothell. Our office is in North Seattle.

We are hiring both individual housecleaners AND teams (for example we will hire a couple or two family members to work together and drive together)

We provide all of our employees with all the cleaning supplies. We only hire employees, not independent contractors. We have a bi-lingual staff. English and Spanish speaking. Nosotros hablamos ingles y español.
