EleMental Health is a new Women's Mental Health facility opening in Thousand Oaks looking for an experienced housekeeper. This position will start as part-time with potential for full-time as we grow. The ideal candidate will have experience in home housekeeping, hospitality and housekeeping management. Statements of Purpose:

The housekeeper is responsible for the cleanliness of the facility and for providing client assistance in basic housekeeping tasks.

Responsibilities:

- Perform a variety of cleaning activities such as:

· Vacuuming all carpeted areas

· Mopping all floors-mop head changed daily

· Making beds

· Laundry

· Ensures that clean linen will be stored separately from soiled linen

· Ensures that soiled linen containers will be labeled “soiled linen”

· Bathrooms cleaned and disinfected daily

· Dusting will be done at least once per week

· Empty trash daily

· Other specific cleaning duties as assigned by the Maintenance Director or Administrator

- Keep common areas tidy
- Ensure all rooms are cleaned and inspected according to company standards
- Keep inventory of linens, cleaning products and supplies
- Keep a log of any damages, deficits, and disturbances
- Handle reasonable complaints/requests with professionalism and patience
- Check stocking levels of all snacks and beverages and replace when needed

Experience:

- Proven experience as a cleaner or housekeeper for at least 2 years
- Experience in a hotel or custodial environment is a plus
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
- Integrity and ability to work independently

Requirements:

Ability to effectively communicate in English.

A high school diploma or equivalent. Experience in a healthcare facility preferred.

Must have valid California driver’s license and liability insurance if driving personal vehicle.

Vision, hearing, manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination must be adequate for performance of job duties.

Able to sit at desk, use keyboard, write and physically perform other job duties.

Able to move about the facility to observe clients and staff.

Able to lift up to 20 pounds.

Obtain certifications within 90 day of employment.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 24 per week
