**Job Title:** Entry Level Carburetor Assembly Technician

**Job Overview:**

Primary Duties

The employee in this position must possess fundamental skills and knowledge in carburetor assembly and rebuilding before employment. Key responsibilities include:

Carburetor Assembly and Rebuilds: Assemble and rebuild BLP carburetors, including used units.
Custom Carburetor Configuration: Select the correct parts based on Sales Orders and Department Manager instructions to build or repair custom carburetors tailored to customer specifications.
Support Role: Serve as a backup for other carburetor specialists, which may involve assembling various types of carburetors as needed.
Machining and Installation: Perform machining of custom parts and installation of parts using specialized production tools and machine shop equipment.
Finishing Work: Polish, color, or tumble parts as necessary to complete the assembly process.
Manual Machine Duties: Assemble incidental products required for the build process.

Secondary Duties

While important to the daily operations, these tasks may not require specialized skills or knowledge prior to employment:

Custom Carburetor Assembly: Build and assemble custom carburetors as ordered from BLP.
Workstation Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and productive workstation and assist in cleaning other areas used by carb shop personnel.
Technical Analysis: Provide technical analysis for any new products developed by BLP or others.
Production Meetings: Participate in regularly scheduled company production meetings to present new ideas, product issues, or problems to management when requested.

Required Primary Skills

Fuel System Knowledge: Professional understanding of fuel system design, uses, and tuning.
Precision Work Skills: Proficiency with measuring devices and precision work.
Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Machining Ability: Manual machining skills are a plus.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
