Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all occupants. This role involves performing custodial duties in both residential and commercial settings, contributing to the overall upkeep of the facilities.

Duties

Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming floors.
Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, break rooms, and common areas by sanitizing surfaces and replenishing supplies.
Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and waxing to ensure polished surfaces.
Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed, including minor repairs and upkeep of equipment.
Handle waste disposal and recycling efforts efficiently.
Respond promptly to cleaning requests or emergencies to maintain a safe environment.
Collaborate with team members to ensure all areas meet cleanliness standards.

Skills

Proven experience in custodial or janitorial roles is preferred.
Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques and equipment usage.
Familiarity with commercial cleaning practices and industrial cleaning standards is a plus.
Ability to perform basic maintenance tasks related to facilities upkeep.
Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
Good physical stamina to perform cleaning duties effectively throughout the shift.
Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
